Basic Groundwork

2 1/2 hours in length. In this DVD, Stacy teaches basic groundwork exercises that all horses and riders should master. These exercises help build a relationship based on understanding, using cues to teach the horse that you are the leader. Through these exercises you can teach your horse to control his emotions in stressful situations before you ever mount up. See Red, a young stallion with little handling as he learns lessons including: staying out of the handlers space, giving to pressure, moving the hindquarters, moving the head and shoulders, tarps, whips, buckets, bouncing balls and more. Multiple lessons using a trained horse, an untrained colt, and students with their horses. Mastering these lessons will help keep you safe on the ground and under saddle. Recommended as essential training for horses and riders, regardless of skill level.

"I recently ordered all your training videos and I must tell you that I was amazed even with the ground training video right from the "get go". You explained the reason behind using a stick and string combo instead of... The point that you made over this just goes to show that the more knowledge a person has in the use of a training tool the much better the horse and the person training will have in success in accomplishing their training goal. Thank you for NOT thinking that this bit of information concerning the stick and string was not relevant.I know I will enjoy all your tapes as I progress in my skills and my horses."
Sincerely, Mrs. Linda H
